Recently Medford Community Media upgraded our control room including a new switcher, the system that controls our studio for television productions as well a new audio board.
We upgraded to the NewTek TriCaster TC1, an advanced system allowing for better productions and the ability for virtual sets, sets that are shot on a green screen and virtually generated by the system. The TriCaster also allows for video roll-ins and the ability to generate production graphics on the fly, something our previous system did not have.
The control room also welcomes an upgraded audio board, the Behringer X32 Compact, a 32 input audio board with more bells and whistles than you'll ever need! Our previous audio board had run out of inputs, only allowing for 12 sources, so the X32 can grow with us. The X32 also has the ability to save show presets allowing each production to save their individual settings, a cool feature that helps staff manage plugging and unplugging sources for each show.
Come by and check it out and we can show you some of the new features the equipment can do!
